Palgwe Chil Jang

Mountain: This is the seventh Palgwe form and it is performed as a red belt with a white stripe. The form represents mountain. It is a powerful form and should be performed with a sense for the power and strength of mountains. This pattern reflects the need to combine movement and non-movement in response to an attack. The stability of a mountain comes from structural soundness and a form that is noble and majestic. There are a number of mountain ranges in Korea that contain specific mountains important in Korean culture.
